Release Day - More Than Everything by Cardeno C.

More Than Everything, my newest novel was released today. I'm always nervous/anxious on release days, but also excited to share my work.

This book in particular has been a long time coming. I first had the idea for it when I was writing Where He Ends and I Begin but it's an unusual concept so I needed to live with it in my head for a few years before I was ready to get the characters and their story down on paper.

Writing a book about three main characters instead of two is new for me and I've heard from some people that they're a bit nervous about reading it, so I want to let you know that this book is much like my others as far as tone and relationship. It's a childhood friends to lovers story and a new love story and a reunited love story, all mixed into one.

Here's what one reviewer had to say about More Than Everything(thanks, Jackie at The Novel Approach!):

Cardeno took a concept that should never have worked and not only made it work, but made it work well. ... There are some very touching moments that we can all remember from our youth ... some will pull on your heart strings; some will make you so ANGRY you want to scream; and some will make you laugh so loudly you will disturb anyone within a mile radius of you while you are reading them. But what they all do is tell the love story these three men share over two decades. They all end up going their own way, but fate has a way of making decisions for us that we would never have expected. This isn’t the average M/M/M story. In my opinion, this is a very unique take on the concept and it just works. ... I think this is one of Cardeno C.’s best works, and I have never laughed as hard as I did while reading the scene about the lentils. That was just brilliant! If you have liked Cardeno’s work in the past, I think you will love this one. I know I did.

Here is the blurb:

As a teenager, Charlie "Chase" Rhodes meets Scott Boone and falls head over heels in love with the popular, athletic boy next door. Charlie thinks he's living the dream when Scott says he feels the same way. But his dreams are dashed when Scott moves unexpectedly and doesn't return.

Years later, Charlie meets brash and confident Adan Navarro, who claims all he wants is a round between the sheets. When they’re still together after eight months, Charlie is convinced Adan returns his love. But then the time comes to be open about their relationship, and Adan walks away instead.

Time heals all wounds but when Charlie runs into Scott and Adan and realizes the only two men he's ever loved are now in love with each other, his heart breaks all over again. Scott and Adan tell Charlie they want him back, but Charlie doesn't know if he can trust two people who have hurt him so deeply. And even if he can, why would Scott and Adan want Charlie when they already have everything with each other?
You can get the ebook here and the paperback here (first 20ish copies are autographed). I hope you enjoy it.

Calhob2 Purchased this book as soon as I got my email. LOVED IT!! Yes, that means I read it less than a day. Couldn't put it down.Interesting take on a threesome. Not giving any details away, but I loved the way the story was told. Different and fun, especially when you needed a break from the drama unfolding. It ranks right up there with my all time favorite "Where He Ends and I Begin".

Thanks so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

Chutchy You surpassed yourself! Didn't really know how the M/M/M would work either, but it did! And very well! Yeah the lentil scene got me, but also the hot dog and noodles with those innuendos! This is the best and I read the Where He ends and I Begin MANY times, but this book was better.

Daniel?

Those were really fun scenes to write. Glad you enjoyed reading them. Daniel's story is Something in the Way He Needs. Did you read that one?

Chutchy YES! I didn't make the connection!!! Oh my goodness! Wow! Just wow!
Gonna read it again right now. This will add to the experience!

Oh, and I didn't mean any disrespect when I posted the review on amazon where I said 'he/she'. I just don't know, and I can tell you value your privacy and your anonymity.

Anything new in the pipeline?

Oh and while I have you on the phone...in the Home Series, there is a rabi and his partner mentioned. Is there a book about them that I missed?

When you reread Something in the Way He Needs, you'll see Chase at the beginning. That's the night he first sees Adan & Scott.

As far as Seth (the rabbi) and Eli, their story is called Walk with Me and it's coming out February 14th. It'll be the last book in the Home series.
