The first draft is finished.

This is such an emotional thing right now.

I’ve been trying to write this story for close to a decade; it’s taken various forms from future cyberpunk to straight up 30’s adventure. It now rests in a fun, fantastical adventure thrillride set in 1934, and I couldn’t be happier that it’s done. I wanted to write a book for my son; this is it. But my mom had always wanted to see it too, get a chance to read it, as I’d always hyped it up and told her I was making yet another attempt to read it. When I knew she was sick earlier this year, in July, I picked it up again and started writing. I knew she didn’t have much time. I wanted to write before she passed, but unfortunately I was too late on that. I almost didn’t pick it up again when she passed at the end of August, but I knew I had to. I had to finish it. So I finished it for my mom, so that somewhere she would know it was done, and so my son could read it.

Happy Halloween to me. November will be editing.
