I wanted to do a full length comic of this story, but it boiled down to this, and I’m pretty pleased! I suggest full-viewing. Oh Genya, you tragic thing you.
Aaaand… just wow. Wow. Wow. So much story here in just a few panels. And SO incredible to see these characters brought to life this way.
I love that you start with Genya’s public face—bemused, beautiful, confident—but then we see her expression cast in shadow, all of that hurt she’s hiding, the defensive posture, even some resentment.
Just totally blown away.
