"1. On the day that you left,
it didn’t hit me that you were
really going to be gone.
And..."

1. On the day that you left,

it didn’t hit me that you were

really going to be gone.

And although your existence

was still intact on the map,

I felt like you are nowhere

to be found.

2. On the second day,

when you didn’t come back,

I no longer doubted you.

If I would have known

that this time would have really

been goodbye for good,

I would have held on

for a little bit longer.

3. On the third day,

I woke up facing

your side of the bed,

and wondered if you

would ever fill that gap again.

4. On the fourth day,

it didn’t hurt as much.

By then, I was already used to

making coffee for one,

and not having to

keep the door unlocked.

5. On the fifth day,

I was able to say your name

without feeling as if

my mouth was on fire.

And I think that was a small

realization to show myself

that I was going to be okay.
