There will be more short stories of Tammy and Jamie

I just got a review about my short story COLD FOOT. Indeed it is a bleak story...not much to be joyful about and definitely not in the erotica genre.

I just want to assure readers that if the fates are willing, I will be writing happier stories of Tammy & Jamie of CRUSH in the very near future. One story I've already written in longhand is OLD CARS, a story about a young autistic boy who unexpectedly comes into the lives of Tammy & Jamie, and THE BUTTERFLY (formerly called THE HOUSE ON GLASS BEACH).

As a matter of fact, I am thinking of titling my short story compilation THE HOUSE ON GLASS BEACH. All of my short stories will be tied to CRUSH in some way, and my novel BRIGHT, the middle section (book 2: Blind) sheds quite a lot of light onto Tammy's childhood situation with his Uncle Price, as told by Nattie Mattheis (Tam's cousin). Also, in BRIGHT, when Nattie, Monty and Walter lose their first baby, Tammy, along with Jamie and Tammy's mom Peggy, come to Idaho to attend the funeral.

For those of you who love Tammy & Jamie, the story COLD FOOT takes place in a time frame somewhere near the end of CRUSH, but not after the end of it. It takes place sometime after they move to Fort Bragg. In my novel BRIGHT, Tammy, Jamie and Natalie will travel to Pride in SF, CA and there Nattie will meet Monty & Walter.

I am also planning either a novel or a smaller novella about the life of Lloyd Tafford, the policeman who rescued Jamie after his parents were killed. It will be a love story that hints at Lloyd being a homoromantic asexual. He meets a man named Derek in police academy and they fall for each other. It will be sad in some ways, but such is life.

I am also going to write more about Bernadette Swinning, the woman in COLD FOOT. She has a connection to Tammy's life, as told in COLD FOOT, but she also has a connection to the mother of Jamie Pearce, Dawna Pearce. I believe this will be a novel or novella as well.

For the most violent and uncomfortable story I've written, OUR HOUSE, there is a connection to CRUSH as well. The victim in that story, Amelia Blankenship, is tied to Dawna and Jamie Pearce.

So right now I am working on OLD CARS, and from there, we'll see! :D
