Belonging

“Transcending is also about belonging. We all have a deep yearning, a sensual need, to be part of – belong to – something greater than ourselves; to lose our pathetic smallness and fear and be swept away, to feel the sweep, joy and glory of the greatness, beauty and perfection we know is there, waiting. And it is there, the Kingdom of Heaven is there. Not in a political party, a new house, a better job, a more loving relationship, but there, where it has always been, within us, calling softly but constantly, singing, “I am yours and your are mine. You belong to me and I belong to you. We are one. Seek me not outside, not in political parties, new houses, better jobs, or more loving relationships. Those are external manifestations of our inner oneness. Honor our relationship with loving kindness, inclusion, respect and compassion. Release judgment, anger and blame. They keep you from me. Get your bloated nothingness out of the way of the divine circuits.”
