 Hi Nancy! Great to have you here and to be a part of your ongoing tour. It's been a while since we last spoke so I'm looking forward to hearing what you've been up to and all about your latest release. Let's get started...

Happy Halloween! Thanks very much for having me today Rachel.
1)   Did you set any goals for 2013?
You mean beside making sure my flying monkeys get regular exercise! *wink*
You bet! More exercise for myself…Check.  Finish off and submit the shifter novel I’ve been working on…Check.  Begin the next book in my Out of Time series… Check.  Write at least 500 words a day…Check.  Try my hand at writing a novella and find better tasting gluten free recipes…No Check YET. Although, I have say the novella is proving easier than finding those recipes.
2)   Who or what has been your biggest influence as a writer?
My family is a huge influence.Exhibit A:  Laughing.  When we all get together, it’s a complete Gong show, but fun because I love to laugh and that’s all we seem to do.I really love laughing.  Sometimes I’m laughing with people, sometimes I’m laughing at people, and sometimes I laugh when I’m by myself. Yes I might be slightly twisted but I promise you it is in a fun loving way…maybe!With all that laughing going on, I realized that humor is a must for me.  So, jokes or cheeky one-lines always seem to find their way into my manuscripts.

3)   How long does it take you to write a 50,000-60,000 word manuscript?
It depends on what is happening in my life at the time. It takes about 6 - 7 months to get a manuscript pounded out, sometimes longer because my novels are usually over 80,000 words, but I have been a very good girl when its comes to my 500 words a day, so maybe this time it will be shorter. *fingers crossed*
4)   Tell us about a new author you’ve recently discovered
I have recently discovered Canadian Author, Eve Langlais. I saw her Alien Mate book for sale on iBooks and bought it on a whim. I don’t usually read novellas but I just loved it! It was funny with a quirky spin and she has a wonderful imaginations.  I’m hooked.  I’ve read the other books in the series and have now moved on to some of her other books.
5)   Name two romances you’ve read more than once
Only TWO!!!I guess I’ll tell you my faves, Lightening by Dean Koontz and Ransom by Julie Garwood.  Both of my hardcover books look as though they seen active combat they’re in such bad shape. lol
6)   Tell us about your first car
LOL OMG where to do begin!!My first car was actually my brothers’ first car.  Our Uncle gave it to him so he could drive to college.  But…when Johnny went to Vancouver Island in the summer for the Navy Reserves, the grey beast became mine.
Okay now picture this…a 1978 4-door, V-6, Le Mans. It was painted with aluminum grey arena paint ( you know that rust proof paint they use on the inside of ice rinks.) Yeah, I’m not kidding. My dad had leftover  paint from a job and gave the beast a new paint job. lol That stuff was awful, it would snag any light weight material and rip it. But there wasn’t one ounce of rust on the car.What else… oh yah! The back driver’s side door didn’t open and the inside panel would fall off if you hit it to hard. The back passenger door would sometimes open and when it refused, my friends would have to climb through the front door over the bench seat to get in to the back.And this is the best part…when you honked the horn the interior light would go on. LOL That was the best car and it went like stink too boot…or *cough* or so I was told.

            She took a sip of the tea—her head was beginning to throb again with the mere idea of being back in the past. If this was really…real, she had hundreds of other questions.
           She blinked, her vision clearing. “Now that I know the where and when, I’ll ask about the how. How did I get here?”

          Gabe’s golden eyebrows pushed together. He clasped his hands together, sighing. “I can tell you how you got here in general terms, but not the mechanics of it. I don’t fully understand how he’s able to do it.”
          Lilly took in the details of his handsome face and knew from his intense stare that not a single detail would slip past him, that he was aware of everything that surrounded him.
          “You were brought here by a Time Shifting Interval System.”
          “What’s a Time Shifting Interval System?”
          “Basically, it’s a fancy name for a time machine. You felt the wind, didn’t you? The mini twister?”
          She sat up straighter, her eyes widening. “Yeah!”
          He nodded. “That’s the TSIS. From what I understand, it produces the whirlwind. It’s that whirlwind that tracks and locates a target—in this case, you. Once you’re inside, it locks you into place so you can’t slip out of it, then pulls you from one time to another.”
          “So that was why I couldn’t get away from it. Every time I moved, it followed me.”
          He nodded. “I was told it locks you in place to read your genetic structure, so it can put you back together in the right order at your destination point.” He paused, then cocked his head a little to the side. “It took you while you were at work?”
          She took another sip of tea and swallowed. “I had just gotten there and was talking to my frie—To my manager,” she corrected herself. Looking into the cup, she remembered the overwhelming feeling she’d had as Stacey left. Had it been coincidence, or part of this time shifting thing? AUTHOR Bio and Links:
My name is Nancy Adams. I am a full-blooded Canadian, right down to the maple syrup running though my veins. I enjoy watching hockey but despise skating...and the cold. I enjoy a good helping of Tourtiere with a side of Poutine as much as the next person, yet I am only bilingual when it comes to swear words.Besides writing, I have three small - but legal - addictions: bed linens, lavender and books. All of which are replenished on a regular basis.
