Fun work? Is that even possible? What do you think?

This is a large part about why my team at work kicks so much ass, really. We have a lot of fun! Sometimes it’s not the work itself that we’re having fun with, but the team camaraderie, management’s passive or active encouragement (or at least benevolent tolerance) of our shenanigans, and the open encouragement from all levels to engage ourselves in having fun as much as possible really helps keep us motivated. In turn, we’re a hella productive team that puts out some quality work, and we manage some amazing feats that probably wouldn’t be tolerated in a much stricter, “businesslike” atmosphere.
Fun is SUPER important to getting through life. Honestly, I need to do a better job teaching my kids how to make their work fun — they’ll need that skill for the rest of their lives.
