The Good, The Bad, and The Undead Give-Away

It’s the second of my give-aways in conjunction with the Hollows Read Along. I think GBU is still on sale today, or we might have clicked over to the next book on the list, Every Which Way but Dead. [click for links to multiple platforms]

To enter the contest for the prize pack, all you have to do is drop down to the comment box at the end of the page here and tell me when you figured out what Trent was. Before Rachel? The same time? What clued you in? (If you’ve not read the book, then tell me what you think of the cover.) Your post is your entry into the random drawing, so please comment only once–on your honor!

Prize pack contains a signed cover flat for Ever After, a hard cover copy of The Good, The Bad, and The Undead, a hard cover copy of Into the Woods, a bunny pin, bus token, and one of the very last of the handcuffs that Harper gave away for the original release. (very hard to find now) One of the prize packs will be getting a book club hard cover of GBU, the rest will be regular release.

GBUprizePack

Rules and Regs. I will open the page for comments Monday, 9:00 a.m. EST, and close it Tuesday 9:00 A.M. EST. I will then use a random number generator to choose the four winning comments.

PinAndTokenStuff to know before commenting:

Guy will ship overseas, so international is okay.

Chances of winning are dependent on how many enter.

My decision is final, even if you quibble over it.

I will contact the winners Tuesday afternoon using the email address they used to comment with, so please check it in the next day or so. If you don’t respond to me by email by Friday, I’m giving the prize pack to the runner up, also chosen by the random number generator.

Few other things since I’ve got your ear.

The first of Harper’s sweepstakes where they’re giving away signed copes of the first five books is still going on. Enter here.

HalloweenAnd I’m right in the middle of a Trick-or-Treat give-away that will take place on Halloween. I’m learning how to work a new app to sign e-books for when I go to RT, so you guys win out as Harper and I give away 31 signed e-books on Halloween. To put yourself in the running, follow the link and enter how you will. You don’t have to give up your friend list to enter through FB, and if even that makes you uncomfortable, there are other ways to enter. Harper is trying to build up my contact list with the readers, and this is a fun way to do it.  31 lucky people will get a free signed e-book, Ever After. [click image to go to contest]

GBUtI’m starting Every Which Way but Dead tonight. You can take part here at the drama box, or at Goodreads where the threads of conversation tend to hang around a little longer. [click image to go to goodreads]

message 1: by Kindra (new)

Kindra Binder I tried to do the read-along but I just can't. I read so fast, it is like i'm inhaling chocolate. I'm on book 5 now.

To answer the questions about trent: I did NOT find out what he was before Rachel. In fact, I thought he was a angle species, since there were demons. I thought maybe half angle, half human.

message 2: by Tanya (new)

Tanya FYI GBU is still on sale for $1.99, on Amazon.com at least.

message 3: by Steven (new)

Steven Phillips Answer: it was mentioned that the elves did not survive the Turn early on, so when Jenks first said he could not tell what Trent was( but for sure not human, witch, vamp,or were), that arose my suspicion, that and the reverence his employees give him (Sa'han) pretty much sealed the deal... add the fact he could preform magic and it was all but carved Ever After... that he held himself as regal just punctuated it... Sooo pretty early on...

Just saw new book is coming out... Sweet! Lost count how many times I've reread this series...

message 4: by Stasia (new)

Stasia Answer: It took me forever. I was bouncing off species when it came to min like a paddle-ball. I only figured out a wee bit sooner then Rachel.

message 5: by Marie (new)

Marie I think it was right as Rachel did...all the signs were there, so this next read a round I'm taking notes! Love how you think Kim, your imagination is awesome!!!

message 6: by Pamela (new)

Pamela Gramlisch I must be slow. I didn't know until after Rachel. I thought Trent was a demon because of his sadistic streak.

Thanks Kim, for this great giveaway and for writing books with great characters that are an enjoyment to follow.

message 7: by Meredith (new)

Meredith Richardson Hmm I think I had my thoughts and had started to question whether he was an elf but it wasn't until Rachel discovered it that I had my suspicions confirmed.

message 8: by Justine (new)

Justine I didnt know what he was till rachel did.
Now i call my son my lil cookie maker cause he has pointy ears!! Lol.

message 9: by Amber (new)

Amber Cox I think I may have figured it out right along with Rachel...although I was always hoping he was a witch so they could have little Trachel babies :-)

message 10: by Traveldog (new)

Traveldog I had my suspicions about Trent early on because the information about all elves being destroyed seemed as if it pointed to something and the descriptions of him having this natural charisma.

message 11: by Jannelle (new)

Jannelle I figured as much early but was not 100% sure. Was just confirmed as soon as Rachel figured it out. :)

message 12: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn Edwards I gab no idea who Trent really was until the reveal. It was such a shocker to me! I love
All your books. Keep on writing please!

message 13: by Bookish Satty (new)

Bookish Satty I didn't read the book but the cover is alluring, it's sexy yet spooky and I love it!

message 14: by Naomi (new)

Naomi I guess I figured it out when Rachel did, it's been a while since I read it but I'm pretty sure it was when Rachel found it out or just before :) sometimes I am really at loss ^^

message 15: by Kim (new)

Kim This may sound dumb, but I try not to think ahead, I try to fully immerse myself in the story and let you tell me where everything is going and I'm always delighted with the result. So, I didn't know any sooner than Rachel.
