My current title The Sanctuary, a Christian Fiction Novel is about a couple who are the pastors of The Sanctuary, nested in the beautiful Bay Area of San Francisco, Ca. Cedric and Lacey Jones, as a couple who love God and as they try to lead a growing and thriving church, personal issues have now invaded their home and ministry. Bishop Cedric Marcel Jones, although known to be a charismatic preacher behind the pulpit, has some internal demons that he must conquer if he is to remain the leader at The Sanctuary. First Lady Lacey Carmell Jones has been hiding behind the shadows of her husband, the flamboyant Bishop Cedric Marcel Jones. Not desiring to be in the spotlight, she is comfortable and content supporting her husband as he builds his ministry. She accepts her minor role at The Sanctuary as the Women’s Ministry Leader; but she has other gifts and talents that lie dormant, and are yet to be seen by her congregation and husband. How does Lacey learn to maneuver her way around what is facing her dead on, and find hope, restoration, and joy once again?

Where did you get the inspiration for this book?

As an inspirational and fiction writer, I write to inspire and empower readers. I write because I feel I have message to share with readers not only to entertain readers but to help them grow spiritually. I love to mix real life stories into my fiction. Although each story is unique, we experience some of the same feelings, situations and challenges in life in which the reader can identity. With the ability to craft fiction books, it gives me the opportunity to live through each character.

I’ve just finished my first Christian Fiction, Novella “Living Separate Lives.” Which will be released on Nov 5, 2013. Four Friends, One Secret and The Weekend That Changed Their Destiny

Candace Walker, Kaylan Smith, Jordan Tate, and Tiffany Thomas have their share of sorrows, but neither of them realizes how deep the sorrow goes. What happens when they agree to meet for a weekend of relaxation in beautiful Napa County? Which one will leave the same or worse?

For Candace Walker, life has left her battered and bruised. Kaylan Smith has struggled with prejudice from her in-laws. After fifteen years of marriage, bitterness is trying to raise its ugly head for Jordan Tate, whose husband wants to call it quits. And for Tiffany Thomas, dealing with rejection has never been one of her greatest feats. Although they have been friends for years, they thought they knew each other well. But will a secret destroy their relationship and bring the sisterhood to a complete halt? Will they be able to forgive and allow God to mend that which might be torn?

Who reads the drafts of your novels?

I have a great writing coach and editor who just happen to be my oldest daughter Felecia. She owns and operates LiyahAmore Publishing: http://liyahamore.weebly.com/index.html. Just when I think I’m done, she pulls more out of me. When I decided to write my first fiction book, I could go to no other person to help develop my skills and cause me to grow as a writer.

What is your favorite snack while writing? Shhhh! I have to admit, I have a sweet tooth for Red Hot Tamales. Pop a few of them in my mouth and I’m all good.

Share a pet peeve of yours (related to writing or otherwise).

As a publicist and marketer when I see authors wait until the last minute to promote their books.
