Steph Campbell and Liz Reinhardt stop by!
They're the amazing writing duo behind the NA Lengths series (including Riptides, which releases TODAY). They stopped by the blog to tell me all about how they celebrate their release day, and the days leading up to it. Funny, it's not very different than what I do...
When we come up with an idea for a book, we’re like this:
And then we start writing. Even when we feel stuck. We keep writing.
And writing.
And ignore everything but our writing.
And our houses look like this:
And our kids look like this:
But then we type THE END.
Only we have to go back. Just to make sure it’s really THE END.
And when we send ARC’s out and we’re like this:
And for the next few weeks, we write guest posts, and do edits, and gear up for release and dream of this:
And once we click publish, we’ll sort of disappear.
Because as much as we hope that people enjoy RIPTIDES.
And we’re dying to know what readers think
we have to avoid the interwebs and not check reviews and sales ranks and stuff in order to clutch onto our sanity
So, we’ll have our ritual daily phone call (because we don’t live in the same town...yet) and make a toast over the phone to adding another book that we’re super proud of to our series.
And we’ll decompress.
And hang with these people that make it all possible, and everything worthwhile...and hope they haven’t forgotten who we are! :)
And repeat.
