Last Touches

So I'm just putting the last touches on Maddy Kettle book one and it feels like it's taking forever. I keep seeing one more thing I need to do. I'm very glad I was giving a soft deadline on this for a number of reasons, the least practical of which is the ability to make it the exact book I want it to be. It's not a huge book, less than a hundred pages, but so hard to do as I had to make a income elsewhere while I did it. What a struggle! But worth every moment.

It's Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend and I'm off to Ottawa to visit family so the last of the work will be broken up (I'm pretty sure I just heard someone telling me to pack...) but should be complete by early ext week.

I think I need about 2 more days work on it and then it's Bera the Troll full time for the foreseeable future, which I'm very excited about. I'm so fortunate to be writing and drawing the exact book I've always wanted to.
