The movie
Out of Africa just celebrated it's twenty-fifth anniversary, but like Robert Redford, it ages well. I rarely watch it anymore because I think I have the dialogue memorized. For a movie made in 1985, it had some startling ideas about how a woman should control her own destiny. Considering that the subject of the film was fighting to control her own life during and just after the first world war makes it even more remarkable.
