An Organized Mess

Today, I was inspired to clean out my jewelry drawer.  That’s right.  I do not have a box, I have a drawer.  None of my jewelry is expensive, but I love anything in the color bling, so I’ve collected a lot of costume pieces.  Generally, they are all tossed into the top drawer of my dresser which looks like this:

Sick of pawing through the mess every morning, I decided to organize.  I wasn’t how to sort it, but when I opened the cutlery drawer in the kitchen this morning, inspiration struck.  If a silverware organizer worked on eating utensils, why not on jewelry?  One trip to Walmart and $10.00 later, I was the proud owner of a bamboo cutlery organizer.  The organizer had additional, pull-out sides, and it fit so well into the drawer it was as if the dresser was made for it.  Now, my jewelry drawer looks like this:

Much better, wouldn’t you say?
