The group Queer Nation will protest Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Orchestra tomorrow at Carnegie Hall. Stravinsky's Firebird, Petrushka, and Rite of Spring, the works on the program, were all commissioned by Serge Diaghilev — a man of "non-traditional sexual orientation," to use the language of Russia's anti-gay law.
