Wonderful Time at IRC 2013

What a wonderful time I had attending the first ever, Indie Romance Convention. It was a whirlwind of panels, meetings and more that left me hoarse, tired and with cheeks that hurt from laughing and smiling. I met so many wonderful people, many of whom I now consider new friends. I met fans, new readers, authors and bloggers. So many I’m afraid to try and list them for fear I might miss someone. (although I do have to do a special shout out to Audrey and her sweet sister, who drove a ridiculous distance to come see me and bring me a lovely basket).

I gave away books, gorgeous souvenir wine glasses, cool car chargers, aprons, cozies and even some awesome FUC tshirts. I made sure I came home empty handed lol. Can you imagine trying to explain to customs what the Furry United Coalition is, lol?

A big, and I mean big, thank you and round of applause needs to be given to Laurie Garrison of Bitten By Paranormal Romance who ran herself ragged putting this thing together and was kind enough to make this Canadian girl feel so welcome. (I also need to thank Vanessa, The Jeep Diva, and her jeep Andy for chauffeuring me around!) Gosh, I met so many wonderful people, who now all think I’m absolutely nuts. But I’m good with that. It explains the way I write lol.

I am hoping I can make it to the 2014 Indie Romance Convention, which by the way is in the planning stages as we speak. If enough fans poke me, I might not have a choice about going whether hubby likes it or not. The poor thing was in charge of our three children and puppy while I was gone. They all survived, lol.

To those who took pictures and spent time with me, I’d love to hear from you. I want to stay in touch. You all made me feel so welcome. It was freakn’ awesome!

I wish I had images to post, but alas, my phone camera doesn’t work (sad face), so I’m counting on the attendees to help me show just how great IRC was.

And to the girls I packed swag bags with… I only have one thing to say, “Baaaaaaah!” (ROFL)

Smiling from her office in Ontario,

Eve

I’ve posted some images sent by people who attended. If you happen to be in the pic and would prefer I not have you featured, just send me a note and I’ll take it down. :)

Swag I Gave Out
There's me giving out books and swag. I went home empty handed :)
Author Donna McDonald who also happens to be a fan of mine. A wonderful lady with a great smile and sense of humor. I hope you'll check out her work as she also writes SciFi romance (http://www.donnamcdonaldauthor.com).
Mistress of the Ceremonies Victoria Danann and such an interesting lady. Be sure to check out her books. (http://www.victoriadanann.com)
These lovely ladies were such a hoot! The one on the right is a reader and the on the left, we have a book blogger. I don't think I ever saw them without a smile on their face.
The horns suit this wicked blogger. (http://www.thejeepdiva.com)
Here's Laurie Garrison of Bitten By Paranormal Romance (and organizer of IRC) posing with Red Phoenix, BDSM author who gave out some really cool swag and was on the BDSM panel. (They did demonstrations that were a huge hit!) (http://www.bittenbyparanormalromance.com) (http://redphoenixauthor.blogspot.ca)
Delicious dinner at a Mexican restaurant with all the attendees.
More of me at the book signing. I gave away 32 paperbacks to lucky readers.

Eve Langlais lol, I'm giving it serious thought. It will depend on my family and finances. Flying in from Canada is pricey. But the fun factor...that was priceless. If I go I'll let you know so we can meet! We are long overdue lol.
