I’m having trouble parsing my reaction to this.

There’s enthusiasm, but also a kind of gut churning weirdness. A lot of these people were my heroes growing up. I guess this is how everyone felt when Oliver Stone made The Doors, but I could give a shit about The Doors.

So, gut take:

Alan Rickman, yay!

Malin Akerman is miscast, but I’m willing to be won over.

The Ramones look too clean.

Iggy looks too clean but I feel weirdly optimistic.

I have no thoughts on Rupert Grint except that it’s nice to see him.

EVERYONE should go read Please Kill Me immediately. Even if you feel about punk the way I feel about The Doors, it’s an amazing read.
