It’s no secret that Stephen King dislikes Stanley Kubrick’s film adaptation of his 1977 novel, “The Shining,” but now… he’s being asked once again to explain why. “ You are a writer, you have not only been blessed with a bestseller, but you have been doubly blessed by having an undisputed film genius wanting to bring it to life to a larger audience in theaters around the world.
The question is a simple one, when do you let your book leave the nest or do you never let it go. I feel that once you put it out there in the public it becomes subjective to public interruptions within reason. What do you think, is there a time that your book belongs to the reader, subjective to public interruptions within reason?
