The trophy

So, my NRCA trophy arrived in the mail recently, all the way from the USA.

It's heavy. Seriously heavy.

Whenever those doubt demons perch on my shoulder to whisper in my ear, I glance at this award and soldier on.

After 44 books, you'd think it gets easier, right?

No.

Every single book is as hard to write as the last.

Lura Is that thing marble? It looks heavy.

I don't want to know how much it cost to mail that. Okay, so I sort of do, just for my own curiosity. ^_^

Nicola Marsh It IS marble, Lura! Very heavy.

From memory, the postage stamp from the US to Australia to post this was $33.

Considering the weight, not too exorbitant, but I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it!!! :)

Lura Wow, $33. That's less than I was expecting actually. ^_^

Nicola Marsh Same here!
If I had to send something that heavy from OZ to US, it would cost a fortune!!!!
