Hybrid Earth to be Released Sept 28th! by Scattered Comics
Hybrid Earth is just eight days from being officially released! This is an exciting new world creating by myself and brought to life by artist Fredrick Allison Jr. It will officially be in print September 28th (mark your calendars) at the Sacramento convention Sac-Con. If you happen to be in the area, stop by and grab yourself a copy of the very first issue.
Here's a little taste of the world of Hybrid Earth (and if you hunt through past blog entires you can catch a sneak peak of a page right out of the first issue):
Hybrid Earth is a new take on the classic hero. In the world that I created (and being brought to life as a comic book by artist Fredrick Allison Jr) Xander Hastings is an HEA Officer tasked with bringing down some of the most powerful beings known, Hybrids. Despite the fact that he’s just an ordinary human, he still finds a way to get the job done. With his Orb, Link, he takes on a new mission, to find Hybrids that have recently gone missing or been abducted. He has no clue what he’s in store for as his investigation leads him into a much bigger situation than he bargained for.
In December of 2015 the latest weapon of mass destruction was created. It was called the nano-bomb. Scientist believed that by combining tiny, microscopic robots with a nuclear warhead, they would be able to direct and control the explosion. They were wrong. The first and last bomb was exploded into Earth’s stratosphere. When the irradiated nanobots came back down, they drifted across the entire globe and merged humans with whatever metal or machine they happened to be touching at the time. These combination human/machines were called Hybrids. Some of these creations were so powerful that a force, called the Hybrid Enforcement Agency, was created to police them and keep them in line. Hybrid Earth follows the story of HEA Officer Xander Hastings and his Orb, Link. Together they try to keep track of the chaos and make sure that innocent people aren’t caught in the crossfire. It’s a tough job, especially in a world where almost everyone has abilities and Officer Hastings has none. Yet, even though he is constantly overmatched against beings more powerful than himself, he still finds a way to get the job done.
