Sorry, I fucking hated that movie. I don't understand why people think this crappy rendition by Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman is worth to be seen. Whatever.

Hah, no, I feel you. The movie musical thing is a pretty polarizing thing for fans. With Les Mis it's easier for me because it's not my faaaavorite one or anything--my heart belongs to Phantom of the Opera adapations. And no matter how good or bad any movie version is, seeing a competent cast on stage is so much more powerful. Like, Phantom on Broadway makes me weep and I don't think any movie adaption could do that to me, you know?That said, I'm surprised and and a little gratified to see you call out Jackman and Hathaway instead of piling on Crowe like everyone else does. :) was it just the performances that bothered you, or is there more?
