Swords for a Dead Lady is a fantasy adventure with all the elements you'd expect from the genre but rather more as well. The world in which the story is set was created in advance, over several years, as were many of the characters, which gives the book a richness and realism well beyond the norm. It's also much more original that most and owes more to the pen of skilled fantasy author Jack Vance and to real history than it does to the usual sources. All this comes from Jim Webster's extensive experience as a designer and player of RPGs, so while this may be his first full length novel, he is no novice.
