I could make this more personal, but I won't this time - here's some basics. I knew Pattrick Henderson back in high school, don’t know him extremely well now, might not know every detail of this case, but here’s what it seems like to me – if someone who has lived in the United States all his life is now risking deportation to a foreign land, primarily due to paperwork issues, money issues, the fact that he voted once in high school, and the fact that he had a misdemeanor for marijuana, that seems absurd.
If deportation is based on paperwork issues and small past mistakes, then most of us would be deported – the only difference being that we were born in the USA and he was not in the USA until he was adopted at 18 months old.
