Embedding posts from Google+ directly to your site. There's a lot of buzz about
#embeddedposts today, but this new feature is for more than bloggers.
Take the changes I just made to the show page for the Books and Beer Hangout below. Prior to this, I was embedding the YouTube video of our show directly to the page. That's fine, but you lose all context of the video beyond the still frame or cover art. There's no text from the YouTube post to tell you -- literally -- what the video is about.
Now, I've replaced the YouTube embed code with the embed code from the Google+ page that
does provide context. You can still click the video directly -- it shares nicely in the G+ post -- to make it play, but now you know what to expect.
Handy! At least I think so. For those who've seen the page before with just the video embedded, what you think?

Mike Downes for sparking my thoughts!)
