Doing the Impossible

If you do not think that God can do the impossible, you should read Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc by Mark Twain. "Since the writing of human history began, Joan of Arc is the only person, of either sex, who has ever held supreme command of the military forces of a nation at the age of seventeen." ~Louis Kossuth

She certainly did not put herself in that office.

Secondly, as Samuel Clemens tells us, her biography is unique, because it is the only story of a human life which comes to us under oath, direct from the witness-stand of the Great Trial of 1431 and the trial of rehabilitation 25 years later. The transcripts of these trials are still preserved in the National Archives of France.
