From blade to blade he flits and flutters


Enemy to soon discover


Feast upon this living morsel


With speed and grace he jumps and hops


Not daring once to stop and


Eye the eyes perched motionless


That stare and wait for legs and wings


To move in daring swings


Tempting feathered foe to battle


No scuff or fight expected


She stoops and swoops…
