Revisiting the Meme

After yesterday’s post saluting National Be Kind to Writers and Editors Month, I thought I’d revisit a happier topic — memes. Since today is Saturday, and believe it or not, I do have a life outside this writer’s world, my post is a visual example of how memes begin and change as they roll through society. This one began with a favorite painting of mine, the 1942 Edward Hopper dreamscape called Nighthawks. The original sits in the Chicago Art Institute. Here’s the original.
