Just when I thought every possible twist had been wrung out of the origins of life in the (DC) Universe, Geoff Johns adds a new one in this issue. How it fits in with the "hand of God" idea at the heart of the original CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS, I don't know, but it makes for an interesting transition toward the resolution that will (sort of) tie things up in this series. It's a very Earth-centric idea, which makes it a little harder to swallow, but on the other hand...
