A busy mind
What a busy Labor Day Weekend!
Yesterday was the Princess Bride Experience and that was totally worthwhile. It was great meeting some new folks and I enjoyed their enthusiasm for my books!
Today Tim and I moved a few boxes from the storage space to the house. I’ve decided to let the boys have “their” moving sale in a couple of weeks. I can use some extra $$$ to cover moving costs and the boys will be motivated to help me prepare for the sale (and man it) by the promise of a take of the proceeds. We have a lot of stuff to get rid of, and I’m sure I’ll find more as I continue to work on the storage space and the garage in the coming weeks. It would be awesome to move as few items as possible, right? The more we sell off now, the less I’ll have to unpack.
The boys start school this week, so I’ll need a first day of school pic on Tuesday. They’re starting 4 weeks behind their classmates, but I hope they’ll catch up quickly. A couple of them might need extra help with their subjects. We’ll see. FINGERS CROSSED!
It’ll be weird just me and GiGi at home all day during the week, but I hope to make major headway with the moving stuff as well as work projects. I need to finish approving chapters for the audiobook of Troll Or Derby, and I’d like to write a bit each day on Troll Or Park. The moving thing has stressed me to the gills and I’ve been unable to produce much the past few weeks. I’d like to just keep pressing on, to get as much finished as possible. That way I hope to build a daily routine of writing work and packing/unpacking work.
I have a Dr. appt Tuesday for some ongoing health stuff, too. Wish me luck with that. I’d love to find out exactly what I “have” so I can get treatment for it. What an inconvenience! I’ve got this whole life to live, you know? I’d rather do that than be in pain.
Anyway, that’s what’s on my mind right this second. It doesn’t sound as bad now that I’ve written it down. My mind has been racing, though.
