Mid Week Tease: The Kiss…well not quite. #SRE #MWTEASE
Happy Wednesday! I’ve taken the week off to get some writing done. I’ll share my new WIP in the coming weeks. Today I’d like to tease you with an excerpt from Tie Me Free, the next book in my Satin Rose Experience series. This is a May/December romance focusing on the beautiful elements of the art of rope bondage called Shibari.
In this scene, Mason’s put his cards on the table. He wants Kate Angel, but she’s feeling a bit vulnerable…
“When are you going to give in to the inevitable, Angel? The next step in your education is an actual scene. I know you want it. I see it in your eyes as we talk about Blaze’s fictional characters. You want more. You deserve more.”
Kate swallowed hard. He was right. The more she’d learned, the more she craved it. She tamped down her fantasies during the day but her imagination ran wild at night and the man sitting next to her had the starring role. However, her dreams were simply dreams. She’d never act on her desire for him, no matter how many times he’d ask. She ran her hand over her Spanx-covered midsection. Kate was an expert in concealing her flaws with shape wear. Pushup bras, butt lifting panties and spandex girdles kept her flesh from drooping and jiggling. She couldn’t bear the thought of getting naked with someone as perfect as Mason Myers.
She shook her head.
“Look, Kate, if it’s the age thing, I can’t stress enough that our age difference doesn’t matter to me. I want you—”
She held up her hand. “I’m just not interested.”
He hooked an index finger under her chin and traced the pad of his thumb over her lower lip. “Like hell you’re not.” His breath puffed hot on her mouth. “Tell me you don’t want me to kiss you right now.”
She parted her lips and her gaze alternated from his mouth to his eyes while their warms breath intermingled. Her mind raced to visions of slick skin, panting breaths and tangled sheets. “I don’t want you to kiss me.” They were the most difficult seven words she’d said in a long time. To her relief he moved his hand from her face and he signaled for the check.
