Winter is Doing that Thing Winter Does, What was it?

One of my coworkers just told me about the heat wave in the upper Midwest, which is predicted to be followed, rather directly, by snow.  It occurs to me that Westeros could be a climatically destroyed North America, if you squint at it enough.

You know, I kind of like that idea.
