I tried to hit this beat in the book, that Black Canary is the best FRIEND in comics. She’s the one everyone turns to when they are at their lowest, and just being around her brings them back up. Oracle, Green Arrow, Wonder Woman, Huntress, Arsenal, she is the friend who sticks during the hard stuff. 

I think it’s part of what makes her lovable, we all need someone like that. 

But I don’t think it affects her ability to carry a solo. She absolutely could do it, she just needs to have a proper motivation for going out on her own, because she’s pretty social, as a rule.
