#Caturday The Writer At Work

Mom is away today. She’s up in Madison, Indiana, at That Book Place, selling and signing books with the Southern Indiana Writers Group.
Meanwhile, I’m here pounding the keys alone. I ought to clean up this office a little. It’s a mess! I don’t think Mom ever puts anything away, she just adds to the stacks. I try to help, but every time I knock something over, she just picks it up and puts it back on the stack. Maybe if she came home and found everything on the floor, she’d get the message.
Do you see what I mean? How is a cat supposed to get any work done in a mess like this?
I suppose I shouldn’t get too irritable with her. She didn’t say a word, the last time her computer stopped working and she found out it was because the fans were totally clogged with cat hair.
A WRITING PROMPT FOR CATS: You knock something off of somewhere.

Meow Meow here. I took over mom's computer for a minute. It's no use trying to get them to clean their desk. If you knock it all off, they put that plus some other stuff on there! Just be glad you have a chair, all I got is a crate to sit on and it's full of books!!!

Just be glad you ..."Katya here. Yes I have a chair. I've even trained Mom to put covers on the chairs and couch so I can sit on them without Charlie getting upset. Keep working at them, Meow Meow and they'll give you a chair of your own!
I dunno, they got the kitty machine making new kittens. I'm not even sure there would be room any more!

Mamma is looking into (or so she says) but apparently this thing called money is lacking. There seems to be some kind of hope on the horizon, though. She keeps looking at the calendar and counting days...

Oh! I can't get too upset with her, she is my momma after. Sniff I was her first litter! Now she's gone and had three more. Momma thinks she might be having another litter! Ooh! This is too much!
