Now that BlackBerry has thrown in the towel (and if they haven’t, having your app store owned by someone who’s churned out 47,000 spammy apps isn’t going to help any), it looks certain that Windows Phone will claim the third slot in the platform market.
Well — ish. In fact, Nokia will claim the third slot behind Samsung and Apple, because the smartphone market is defined by battle of the brands. Non-technologist consumers do not care about platforms.
