We got a new puppy!

TOBY And Toby is the cutest little thing!  We already love him to pieces. 

Our sweet dog, Gus, of 16 1/2 years died this last May.  It has been a difficult thing for us all.  We have felt his absence keenly.  I honestly didn't think we'd have the heart to get another pup until next summer.  However, as I'm going to be homeschooling again this year, my son simply needed a recess playmate.  So we decided to look around. 

My husband happened to see some small puppies at a neighbor's last week.  Several times, we went by to ask them about them, but they weren't home.  Finally, we had success!  And, oh, how darling they were!!  We fell in love!  Even though we really don't have the money for another pet, we decided that sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and take in a little animal to bring some sunshiny happiness to your children.  And it has!!  They adore Toby!  We all do!  He's only 6-7 weeks old and is part Kelpie and Blue Heeler, among other things, I'm sure.  But he's got beautiful coloring and a sweet disposition.
