Aithne's mouth parted from his neck, leaving him aching for her to return there. Trailing one hand around his waist, she walked beside him, holding him up since his legs were unsteady, placing her other hand on the rope. It fell to the ground and Finn collapsed, his body unsteady. He tried to focus his vision. Her lips were full and red, practically wet. She knelt next to him and withdrew a dagger from her belt, making a cut on her wrist. She offered herself to him. Some raw instinctual drive made him take what she offered and he drank her blood from the cut.
