Back from Vegas and RNC...
I'm home. Well, I've been home, but man oh man have I been tired. Far too sleep deprived to put together a coherent blog post. Besides catching up on sleep, I've been running around trying to get my kids ready for school (it starts in five days...eek!).
I enjoyed my time in Vegas at Romance Novel Convention. I've been wanting to attend a writers' conference for a while, and RNC was convenient because it's way easier for me to get away during the summer than during the school year. The classes I attended were fun and informative, and I met some pretty cool people. Being the introvert that I am, I was totally nervous about going by myself. But it all worked out. I met a few Facebook friends, as well as some new people I'd never talked to before, and the best part...meeting and hanging out with two of my publishers, Blushing Books and Books to Go Now!
The book fair was a blast, and I'm glad I decided to have a table space in it. I'd originally decided I wouldn't have a table space since I'm primarily an e-book author, and I didn't feel like I had enough books in print. But I ended up selling a few books, talked to lots of readers and bloggers, and I passed out business cards and postcards to as many people as I could, so I'm glad I did it.
A special thanks to Jimmy Thomas for organizing the first Romance Novel Convention, as well as all the volunteers. I'm happy I made it to the first one, and I hope to return next year.
