A release date for Learning Curve

I'm in a great mood today, because I have a cover and a release date for Learning Curve. Here's the cover:

Learning Curve cover

And the (almost definitely) release date is September 6th. The book is still in proofing, so there is a very small possibility of delay, but I'm pretty sure it should sail through. I'm looking forward to getting this one out. I hope readers will enjoy watching Mac and Tony work through the situations left in the wake of Home Work, and a new mystery, of course...

Thanks for the enthusiasm everyone.

Sharon Cox Bloody hell. I'm overseas and won't be able to download the book until I get back. What a pain.

message 14: by Jo (new)

Jo You are one of those authors that give me an immediate thrill every time I see you have a new book out.

message 15: by Kaje (last edited Aug 17, 2013 08:32AM) (new)

Kaje Harper Thanks! I'll be giving away a few copies here and there, including on the Stumbling Over Chaos blog, starting in ten days or so. Chris does a ton of free book drawings there - always worth a look.

I also have a backlist giveaway that will post on the eleventh, and with this coming out on the 6th, it will be available there too.

I'll post links when those go live.

It's fun to have something new releasing :)

That would be great if I didn't already own every single thing you have ever published. I know as I write this I sound kinda of stalkerish. I promise no walls of photos/newspaper clippings in my house maybe one of your book covers next to a candle+saint but I am Mexican catholic were allowed to do that ;)

p.s. I just re-read Nor Iron bars a cage and was again blown away by how amazing a writer you are and that was your free book....

Kaje Harper Wow, thank you, and LOL. I love writing the freebies (even if my husband growls about the two kids in college...)

And I'm really looking forward to a new release with this one - it's a unique mix of excitement and nerves.

Plainbrownwrapper Congrats!

That is what I always think when I read a free online story of that caliber, especially since I re-read because I was grumpy for having paid a lot for a bad book. So I went to my free reads to off set the pain. I am a librarian so I know besides wanting to support your talent I only have a job if authors keep publishing. I often buy books for the library that I enjoyed even when I get for free so that others will hopefully discover deserving authors. I also buy a lot of independent authors for the library.

message 21: by Kaje (new)

Kaje Harper I love librarians - libraries saved me as a kid :)

message 22: by Tina (new)

Tina Congrats! Can't wait. :)

My aunt is a recently retired librarian who absolutely loved her job helping people discover new things. Thank you from an appreciative library-goer!

Sherry F Sooooo looking forward to this, Kaje!!

message 25: by Christine (new)

Christine Congrats, Kaje! So excited to see more of these two wonderful characters. Love this series!

Lois - Who Reads So excited to see another book from you!

message 27: by Pete (new)

Pete W The model for Mac had change eh? I think the one in previous covers looks hotter. At least his facial feature implied that he was a big tall and obviously handsome.

Kaje Harper Pete wrote: "The model for Mac had change eh? I think the one in previous covers looks hotter. At least his facial feature implied that he was a big tall and obviously handsome."

Yeah, he was a bigger guy, which fit. But wow, the rest of his pictures on the stock sites were really strange - odd expressions, rolling eyes... the artist went with a new guy rather than reuse a picture. I imagine some people will like him better and others won't.

Ahh... the peril of stock images. I know the feeling although probably not as much at your level.

Would it not be nice if you have like a stable of men whom you can order around so you can get a decent cover shoot :P.

message 30: by Kaje (new)

Kaje Harper Ooh, a stable of hot guys who would pose at my command... I like that idea :D

message 32: by Neet (last edited Aug 18, 2013 05:32PM) (new)

Neet Ohhhh! I''m so doing the happy dance! I looooooove this series and have been going thru withdrawals! I love all things Tony & Mac. Also, is this really the last book in the series?

message 33: by Kaje (last edited Aug 18, 2013 05:54PM) (new)

Kaje Harper Probably... for now... See the comment on my review - http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

message 35: by Amy (new)

Amy Lane *happy dances* WHEEEEEEEEE!!!!

message 36: by Kaje (new)

Kaje Harper Aw, thanks guys :)

message 37: by Karen (new)

Karen Wow, only a few more weeks to wait! I don't know why I thought it was going to be later, this is a great surprise! I kinda like the idea of ending the series leaving them in a "good place" because they deserve it. And I will imagine their lives with more ordinary adventures as they grow old together and spoil their grandchildren!

Of course, I'll be all over any Tony & Mac short stories if you write them :)

message 38: by Kaje (new)

Kaje Harper My publisher tends not to give out release dates until the book is close to done, so it was a bit of a surprise to me too (although a good one.) Now we just have to get it through formatting and we're set :)

message 39: by Marcy (new)

Marcy So excited! I love Tony and Mac...and your writing! :)

message 40: by Kaje (new)

Kaje Harper Thank you :D

message 41: by Sun (new)

message 42: by Kaje (new)

Kaje Harper LOL - I hope you enjoy it.

message 43: by Pete (new)

Pete W Will you be interested to do Tony & Mac: characters interview liked Josh Lanyon did for his Adrien English series and Abigail Roux did for her Cut & Run series?

It's an interesting idea; could be fun, but I'm not sure. Amy Lane also did a great one with Mikhail and Crick. :)
