Another Day, Another …

newcovers-300x230Headache. Odd. I had a blissful two months where I thought I had these things kicked and then BOOM they’re back. Ugh.  So I’m late getting this up … and thank you for your patience.  What I wanted to talk to you about today was the usual EBOOK versus PRINT BOOK conversation.  Nope, not an either/or thank goodness! I wanted to tell you that you can now get PERFECT PARTNERS, THE RIGHT CHOICE, and SOLITARY MAN in PRINT! :snoopydance: And they are GORGEOUS. 5×8, glossy covers, simply beautiful if I do say so myself.

What you need to know is that when an author publishes her work herself and not through a NY publisher there are pros and cons. The pros? You get the books faster.  You get the books CHEAPER.  i.e. these three books, hard to find for ages, are $2.99 in eBook.  The cons? If you are a die-hard print reader then you have to pay a premium for the print books.  How do you buy them if not in a book store? You just go to Amazon and order the books! They’re more expensive because it costs more to make a print book, there isn’t a publisher doing the work in bulk, and even as authors when we set the price for you, there is a set # at which we can not go lower – or the book won’t be listed for sale.  Doing these books in print is a labor of love.  We have to pay extra for the covers, the formatting, etc.  We don’t make much money off these books because frankly people don’t want to pay the price.  BUT.  There are those of you who do.  And we love you for it.  So big hugs. :ringaroundrosey: And honestly, you pay that price for trade books anyway, you just aren’t used to it for many romances.

So here you go, my babies, PERFECT PARTNERS, THE RIGHT CHOICE, and SOLITARY MAN, in PRINT!

And to have a discussion today, when you read authors who have gone “Indie” do you ever buy their print books at the higher price?
