Writer’s Wisdom - Rule #13 - Electronic voices destroy inspiration. “Television is a rectangular  drain. Turn it on and you pull the plug on creativity.  Talk radio is the same. Don’t have it on while you’re writing. With all  those other voices filling the air, how can you hear your muse?”
