"As in Shakespeare's tragedy the journey of the two protagonists, Matt and Cristina, is anything but downhill and leaves them despite them having to deal with potentially dangerous and unexpected obstacles: a bulky presence in her past, a charming and attractive rival who risks obscuring the hero, a young girl apparently helpless to save... not to mention the dangers posed by the meeting of two same incendiary personalities but diametrically opposed, that glacial and intense of Matt and the blatant and outrageous of Cristina.
Cristina Cabrisi is a young 21 year old girl, beautiful, strong, provocative, well aware of her power especially on men. But Matt, authoritative owner of the MSA, an agency that offers services of "accompaniment" for the wealthy, has other plans for her, he wants her at all costs among the Jewels of his own agency and is willing to do anything... in a game with no holds barred, in which desire, torment, eroticism rival with deepest feelings and visceral emotions, Matt and Cristina compete on a difficult terrain and unknown to them both, leaving consume by a passion as intense as a destructive... a battle in which, in the end, the winner can not say to be totally satisfied...
In "SuddenStorm" we participate for the first time as an unexpected "reversal of roles", Matt is a man absolutely sexy and irresistibly charming, influential, seductive, aware of his social position and influence, with a look killer turbid, dark and catchy but he is also, at the expense of escort agency that manages, a traditionalist, a gentleman from another time, a man who does not hesitate to open the car door to his girlfriend, who on the first date does not go beyond a kiss and who is not afraid to reveal his emotions.
To play the role of dominatrix / predator here is the female counterpart, Cristina. A woman who, despite her young age, shows sharp, cheeky and provocative, indomitable does not let to subdue by languid looks or flattering promises, a woman who always has to command, which does not allow anyone to hold her in their hands and that must have total control of every situation.
At the same time, however, Cris reveals a disarming emotional fragility and insecurity, claustrophobic to relationships, feels inexorably drawn by the irresistible charm of this man but also exposed and vulnerable to the deep and contradictory emotions that he is able to trigger in her. Cris is actually a singular condensate of contradictions, so bold and uninhibited in sex how vulnerable and insecure emotionally.
But, from the moment the fate crosses their paths and ice look of him touches the disturbing forms of her, their future is fatally scarred, haunted by a kind of spell Matt and Cris challenge each other in an attempt mutual to impose over the other, he to have her in his agency, she to seduce him and to be possessed, not realizing, however, that in this fight without winners or losers they will fall victim by the whirlwind of emotions while a passion that ignites the blood and burns the soul will make them unconsciously and surely more and more dependent on each other...
Sudden Storm, the first volume of the MSA trilogy, was a novel that I was literally blown away, for its erotic content highly explicit but also for the extraordinary quality of the writing, smooth, direct, sliding that supports so exquisitely refined a extremely complex plot in which there are many interrelated characters all thoroughly characterized and not without a certain amount of introspection.
It is these characteristics that you would expect (remaining often disappointed) by navigated writers, certainly not from a young author that has the same age as the protagonist of her own novel...! The young Chiara Cilli reveals, in this novel, in my humble opinion, a talent really out of the ordinary, I have often found nothing short of speechless in front of the gloss properties of language and the vivid ability to describe situations that are particularly "intense" with a smoothness and a surprisingly natural ease.
While there are parts of the (very few) where the thread of the narrative is lost for a moment, the whole story unfolds in a completely credible and convincing keeping you chained with bated breath until the last line... and in a book over four hundred pages I would say that is no small thing...!
This first volume of the trilogy MSA began as a collection of self published series of episodes published individually on the Amazon platform (The Forbidden Man, Tempting Offer, Addicted to You, Burn for Me, Blood Ruby and Your Exception), then gathered together to form the chapters of the novel. On that basis, I personally can not wait to be able to read not only to learn about the evolution of the characters but, once again, to be able to enjoy the skill of this talented writer!
In conclusion, a sincere thank you goes to Chiara Cilli for putting "Sudden Storm" to my attention.... I'm just sorry I waited so long to start reading it!!"
