“Acquitted Development” on The Daily Show (Recommended Watch, Non-Sex-Related, U.S. Public Policy, Sociology) 7/15/13

I definitely find this dark humor, as it obviously addresses very serious issues. But, as I’ve often experienced with The Daily Show, I appreciate the effectiveness of highlighting them via the use of sharp humor. I chose not to closely follow the case referenced (as I’ve generally chosen to eschew mainstream news in recent years) and don’t feel I would know everything relevant about the situation even if I had, but especially in relation to the second case mentioned toward the end of the clip, this commentary seems to me to point out some of the serious distortions that currently exist in the U.S. legal system.
