PLEASE read this

Please read/share this: A close friend of mine is facing a diagnosis of terminal cancer. I am crushed by the sad news, but inspired by his good humor and fortitude in the face of the unthinkable. I have sent my prayers and support, but that is not close to enough.

John Stephen Walsh has been my online friend for a decade. We never met in person, but we know each other better than most "real-world" friends do. We met through political debate groups on Yahoo (long before Facebook was invented) but we both dropped out of those years ago. Then, coincidentally, he contacted me out of the blue when I was starting to write Voyage of the Dead in 2011. Turns out he has been writing horror and science fiction stories for many years. He really helped motivate me to write my first book. He was always there for feedback and encouragement. It's a debt I can't repay, not that he would ever ask me to.

After releasing Voyage of the Dead and Flotilla of the Dead, I turned the tables and convinced him to compile some of his stories into an indie anthology. The result was "Love Has A Taste" (Kindle 2012). I know it is hard for anthologies to compete in a market dominated by novels, but these are some damned good stories!

So I am asking you to BUY HIS BOOK! The royalties may come in time to help him. Regardless, his legacy as an author is worthy of celebration. I can assure you that this collection of horrific stories deserves a place on your Kindle, or at least in your cloud. Some dark and stormy night you will find yourself drawn to one of these terrific tales. And if the author frightens you, just tell him I sent you.
With Love.
