HAPPILY NEVER AFTERS

An online buddy and fellow writer, Joanne Wadsworth, once blogged about the importance of an author brand - see the post here!
When it came down to it; I settled with Purveyor of Naughty Nookie. I felt it tied in with my series, Naughty Nookie as well as conveying what I do; write chick lit erotica. Not hardcore stuff.
At the same time, I determined that something with Happy Ever After in the title wasn't going to be a suitable author brand. Why? Because that isn't real and reality counts to me and hopefully to the peeps that read my work.
In a way, I'm a cynic. I read a so-called HEA and think, what went wrong?  Or what could potentially go wrong? Does the hero cheat, when the heroine can't cope with her miscarriage? Does she sink into alcoholism, when the hero dies in a car crash? Ok, maybe I'm a pessimist, but I can't help it.
And this link to an article, click here to read it,  is a demonstration that I'm not alone! :D
How awesome are these pics?
So powerful, touching and emotional. Strong, hard-hitting and the most important aspect? They're real.
No matter what I write, I strive for reality. And even if it means I have to skew reality to suit, then that's what I'll do. Because no one's life is perfect and while readers want the fantasy, we're too intelligent to be treated to the stuff we're fed as kids.
Reality can suck; but not the way I write it. :D
If you fancy seeing whether I'm all BS or speaking the truth, then here are my links to my new novella.
