Doxacon

Donna Farley, who gave the best lecture I've ever heard on "A Spell for the Refreshment of the Spirit", did a write up of Doxacon–the sf/religious convention held in Springfield, VA in late July. It is a lovely, poetic write-up. You can see it here:

Doxacon was one of the best conventions I have ever gone to. A wonderful mix of spiritual truth and science fiction and fantasy. I was greeted by a pastor's wife who had 'come out' of the Geek closet by putting on her dice earrings. It only got better from there.
