Shopping – It Hurts
I haven’t even stepped foot into the store and I’m already in pain thinking about furniture shopping.
Yes. I’m weak.
Yes. I know it should be fun.
It won’t be.
LOL
Hubby and I spent a few ours looking online at the store we’ll be shopping at and put items on wish lists we liked. So far we’re similar in our tastes. Dark wood for the bedroom, not too ornate, not that many small drawers. White wood for the guest room. And either a couch/love seat combo that look comfy and yet nice or a sectional with chaise lounge.
Do you realize how many ugly couches and beds there are out there?
I’m sure somewhere out there there’s a person who loves the cherub and cherry wood carved ornate piece with duck shaped handles, but that’s so not me LOL.
Though it is kind of fun trying to figure out what styles we like, it’s not that much fun trying to look at thumbnail versions. When I shop for them in person, you know I’ll be tweeting random images saying “OMG WHAT IS THIS?!?”
I’ve been making lists and lists of things we need and I’m just ready to move now LOL. I don’t want to wait two weeks even though I’ve done all the organizing in less than 7 days.
Oh, and one thing I can’t find online?
A desk
Do people really think that writers need a spindly little desk? It’s not like I’m going to be doing my correspondence wearing my day dress and corset…well okay, I might just try that to get in character, but that’s another story.
I need a desk that has drawers people! I need something hardy and in a pretty wood. If it happens to not have dancing cherubs on it, I’m totally in.
Looks like desk shopping might take awhile.
Ugh.
So, have any of y’all had any fun shopping adventures?
