And the wheel just keeps on turning

Finished a quick rewrite very late yesterday on the last Hollows book–not the one that comes out in Feb 2014, ( THE UNDEAD POOL) but the one that comes out early 2015. OMGosh, I cried, not because it was over, or that I was sad, but that it was the end of a ten year journey for me, and the way it evolved and finished felt satisfying. Just really good.

Ah, I’m not saying the manuscript is perfect, because even as I print it out to send it to my publisher, I see things I want to change, but there’s a real temptation to just throw crap on the page to finish out a contract, and what I came up with felt real, solid, and part of the story. Needed.

Can’t wait for you to see it. :-)

Angelique Smith I'm probably going to have a wee ugly cry session when I read the last book. I'm always irrationally sad to see the end of a series, especially an awesome series like yours. Starting to feel a little melancholic just thinking about it... :P

I'm already working on what comes next, Angelique!

Bradley You'll be having a lot of die-hard fans follow you there. I've been very happy to follow Ms. Morgan through her leveling up, but I'm also very curious to see where you turn next. :) Thank you for everything you've done. :)

It's been my pleasure, Brad! And thank you for trusting the storyteller. I truly appreciate it.

Danielle While I’m absolutely gutted that The Hollows series is ending, I’ve always found it better when any creator (Books, TV...) has a definite ending in mind. Ties it all up neatly.

Can't wait to see what works come next :)

I agree. And the fewer cooks in the kitchen make for a better soup.

Clayj98 I hope you keep writing in the Hollows world. I have loved this series especially the fairies. At 39 years old I still play Dungeons and Dragons (gasp) and played a character inspired by Jenks. Please keep up the great work!

Just two more, Clay. But I think you're going to like the next thing I'm working on. I can hardly stand not talking about it. :-) And then you might have a new character to be inspired by.

Well if you continue creating great characters, with good plots and twists I'll be along for the ride! I'm looking forward to see where you take us.

Meredith Richardson It's a double edge sword for me. I stumbled upon your writing and beautiful/crazy world filled with supernatural creatures and have fallen in love!!! I can't wait for the last two books but it will be sad when its over. I agree with Danielle though, when a writer/creator ends a series or television show in their own way it gives everyone closure rather then being dragged along for stories that don't have the same passion or cutting a show short which leaves everyone hanging.

You are an amazing writer and I can't wait to see what you come up with next :D

Kim Harrison Thanks, Meredith. I'm so glad you're enjoying the story. :-) I think you'll like what's coming up.

Isabella 10 years is really a long time invested in any project. It is not over jet for us readers but I do agree with everyone above that the best thing when there is a closure. Thank you Kim for a great series!

Thanks, Isabella. I was lucky to have been given the chance to write it as I wanted, closing it when it was done. I have a great editor that way.

Valerie I can't even imagine the series ending. When I am reading one it feels like family. Kim, you are an awesome writing and I can't wait to see what comes next!
