Progress

I can't believe that it is August. I have learned so much this year. Number one lesson learned: never announce when a book is coming out until you actually have it sent to the editor. Writer's block can kill you and you never know when it will attack. Number two lesson learned: characters write the book. Forcing things to happen only make writing the book harder because you have to go back and rewrite it.

A friend told me this year that writing is about quality of work produced not the quantity of work produced. Three good paragraphs are worth more than three poorly written pages that you have to end up cutting or rewriting.

Number three lesson learned: Reading for me is like a drug addiction. I have to learn to walk away.

I'm getting closer to completing this "masterpiece."
