Moon (Glimpsing Stars #1.5) is out! {Also, serial episode news.}

MOONHey everyone!

As promised, MOON is out today!! YAY!!! I had so much fun getting into Moon’s evil head and digging up skeletons in her closet. I hope you have fun reading it. It’s up on Amazon, B&N, and Kobo. The Apple store should be getting it live soon as well. Want a look at what it’s about? Here ya go:

Loyalty. Obedience. Patriotism.

Moon Stewart has no doubt that the New Amanian way of life is the right way. The only way. But was there ever a time when she felt differently?

In this companion novella to the dystopian bestseller World of Shell and Bone, the secrets of Moon’s past are revealed, giving readers a glimpse into the mind of their favorite antagonist.

In other fantabulous news, I’ve been hard at work on Land of Masks and Moonlight. Can’t wait to share some teasers with you guys soon! Here’s a hint: Shale has a bigger part in the story this time. :)

In yet other news, I’m going to be away on vacation from August 4th until the 10th. What this means is that I won’t have episode 8 of the Fevered Souls serial ready until the 19th, most likely. I promise I’ll try to get it up sooner than that, but we all know what coming back from vacation is like…major vacation blues! It might take me a while to get back into the routine, so I hope you guys will be patient with me while I figure things out.

Have a great, great week and I’ll talk to you soon!

Sandhya

Andy Looking forward to checking this one out after I finish the Flash Gold series. Looking very forward to Book #2 though and see what adventures lie in store for our heroes!

I can't wait to hear what you think, Andy! :) Book 2's coming in December--can't wait to share.

Andy Hey SK, totally forgot to mention I finished Moon! It was a really awesome read albeit a bit depressing, but that is the point of writing. To invoke emotion I mean. I really love when authors tie in side stories like this to allow you to peer into the lives of other characters in the story you may not get as much background story about (reminds me of Orson Scott Card a bit with the Ender and Ender's Shadow series). I now definitely see why Moon acts as she did in The World of Shell and Bone, and also can see how this will somewhat affect the second book in the series! The depressing feeling was more or less feeling sorry for Moon's past (don't want to ruin anything here with specific details). Overall a very good read and glimpse into her life.

On a side note, a close friend and member of my book club read this and Shell and Bone but I never knew until recently. Maybe I can get her to provide some feed back too :).

Can't wait for the second book!

S.K. Falls Yay, Andy, you totally made my day! :) I'm sooo glad you enjoyed it. And YES, I know what you mean about it being depressing. I totally wanted to reach into my screen and hug Moon the whole time I was writing. I'm a strong believer in "behind every bad guy is a sad story," but I figure you already got that from the novella. ;) Thank you so much for your support!!
