Something old, something new
Two pieces of news to impart. Firstly, the launch of my ‘new’ old blog at blogger. I’ve had this blogger account for sometime, and have always fumbled around undecided what to do with it. At long last, I’m going to make an attempt at blogging. Why not do it here directly on my website, I hear some ask. Well, for a long while, I’ve used the blogging features on this site for news only and I am aware some of my readers like it that way. I can fully understand why they want the ‘news’ upfront where they can find it. For those wanting to read anything I have to say or view any fun snippets I find on the internet, not to worry. They can head over to my blogger at the simple press of a button by clicking HERE, or any of the links to my blog found easily in the menus on-site. There’s not much over there at present, but in the next couple of weeks I’ll be sharing some insight into a recent trip of mine.
And something very new and newsworthy is a short story called Night Train has been accepted by Night to Dawn magazine. This will be the second work of mine they will publish, the first being Effigy in Garnet…quite some time ago now. I have promised to sub some more horror to them without leaving it so long between submissions in the future. Night Train is…well, it’s vampire horror, but it’s also got a romantic touch. It’s one that people read and say they like and remember even if unsure why. Maybe not the ‘keeper’ as my last Night to Dawn effort, but a story I have a soft spot for and well written enough that the publisher expressed an interest. I’m especially pleased as this is another non-romance credit. I don’t call myself a multi-genre writer for nothing, even though that makes life harder for me.
